    Default New Car

Was talking about getting a WRX or a SRT-4. Couldn't find a Wrx I liked well enough to go in to debt for so I went with a Srt-4. Picked it up in Lexington about a month ago, just now getting around to making a thread to show all of you. I know most the comments are going to be about it being just a Neon and making fun of my manual rear windows haha, but I really enjoy it and I am very satisfied with my decision so far.

    Mods include:
    MSD Ignition and wires
    3" mid pipe
    EIbach springs
Drag dr34 wheels with Bridgestone Potenza tires
    K and N filter
    Unknown brand BOV

This is the day I purchased it:

Sold the Enkies and picked up some Drag's today

    With new wheels and tires:

In the future I want to get a full exhaust, Mopar intake, Diablo Trinity, fix the hood and tint the windows. Maybe loose the spoiler.

Nice, of course youll get made fun of for the manual rear windows but im sure its a blast to drive. Im not a chrylser/dodge fan but a clean SRT4 Neon will always be ok in my book.

I like both sets of wheels. Only other thing i would look into appearance wise is the black housing headlights. I never was a fan of the chrome headlights on a darker colored car.

Thanks, it's definitely an upgrade from my 92 Civic with no power options at all! haha

    I personally love SRT-4's.

So they have manual rear windows and power fronts? Very interesting.

Yes. It had a few problem when I got it. Had a few vaccum leaks and real bad spark blowout. Also had some ghetto catch can and boost controller that I had to fix. Car runs like new now.

Thanks man! Besides what I put in the original post, i'd like to maybe get a bigger turbo on down the road. The factory one is very small.

Yeah it's pretty stupid. One thing people mess with SRT owners about. If i'm not mistaken all the Neon's have manual rear windows.

You may want to check the body and paint work out carefully on the car. We see a lot of cars that come from them that usually are mechanically very sound, but have had some cheap body touch ups or repairs. The kind of stuff that may chip or flake easily after a few years.

Yeah I can tell part of the front bumper has been painted before. It has bad Orange peel on a small part. Besides the front bumper the rest of the paint is fine.

I do have a small dent beside my gas lid where someone has opened a car door in to it. I would like to get it fixed.

I personally prefer manual windows, it's so much easier than trying to poke some crappy switch -juuuuuust- lightly enough not to trigger the automatic roll that shit all the way down, oh wait you want it all the way up now? No? All the way down again? Ok.

I hate electric windows and car seat adjustments.

Yeah I hate that about power windows, luckily the fronts are basic no auto down or up. If you want them down you have to hold the switch to where you want them lol.

    Thanks everyone!

Let me know when you want to fix that dent, I fix some of his cars for him, but Jazzie is right, some stuff that comes from there has had a rough life. Not sure what you paid but I'd bet it was a pretty good deal, that car was there for a couple months at least.
