my 240 project

been awhile since I've actually been active on here so I thought I'd share what I have been working on for the past couple months. It's a 1990 240sx se ka24e 5 speed, bought it with a spun rod bearing but since then I bought another motor and transmission with a Isis short throw shifter, xtd stage 2 clutch, bought all new gaskets and head bolts, m2 lowering springs, black reclinable racing seats, all new rotors, brakes, wheel studs and lug nuts. not sure what the future really has for it but I'm hoping to have it painted satin black before too long. the half primer half black just kills it, as for the silvia front end goes i only have a fender and corner light right now but will piece that together as time goes on.

it has been a hand full so far, all 4 tires were completely flat when i bought it, talk about a bitch to jack up esp. sittin in grass lol.

thats alot of 240's lol you wouldnt happen to have any parts left over would ya? im just looking for center tail light right now since mine has a crack in it.

not a huge update but its something, went and bought oil, oil filter, anti-freeze, gasket sealer and a new thermostat. next will be installing all the new gaskets on the motor and pulling the old one out and putting the new one in. so in short getting closer to having her run again.

Keep the vafc to squeeze a little more juice out of it.

Word of wisdom, only use HT Hondabond for silicone gaskets. The stuff is the best.

i got it for when i go supercharged so i'll have something till i can get it tuned but since that will be a little ways off i just dont need it at the moment and i can always pick another one or even a safc 2 for around the same price im selling it for.

i got VersaChem gasket sealant type 2, know anything about it?

Nope. The vafc has more adjustment points than the safc though. I am running a vafc2 on my sr30det b13.
